Webinar & Workshops Terms and Conditons

1. Introduction
 

These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase and use of all digital products, online courses, webinars, downloadable resources and educational materials provided by Dr Lucy & Associates ("the Practice", "we", "our" or "us").
 

By purchasing, accessing or using any webinar, workshop, or digital resource you confirm that you:

  • are aged 18 years or over (or have permission from a parent or legal guardian);

  • have read these Terms;

  • agree to be legally bound by them.

These Terms form a legally binding contract between you and Dr Lucy & Associates.
 

2. Nature of the Webinars & Workshops
 

Our webinars & workshops are educational resources designed to improve understanding of psychological topics.
 

They are not:

  • psychological therapy;

  • psychological assessment;

  • diagnosis;

  • treatment;

  • medical advice;

  • individual clinical advice.
     

Completion of a webinar or workshop does not establish a psychologist-client relationship.
 

Participation does not create any duty of care beyond providing access to the purchased educational material.
 

3. Individual Responsibility
 

The information within our webinars and workshops is intended for general educational purposes only. Psychological knowledge is not a substitute for an individual clinical assessment. Every individual is different. The techniques discussed may be helpful for some people and less helpful for others.
 

No guarantee is made regarding:

  • outcomes;

  • improvements;

  • symptom reduction;

  • behaviour change;

  • educational progress;

  • wellbeing.
     

Any decisions made following participation remain entirely your responsibility.
 

4. Emergencies
 

Our workshops and webinars are not monitored. They must never be used during a mental health crisis or emergency. If you believe that you or another person is at immediate risk you should contact:

  • 999

  • your GP

  • NHS 111

  • your local Crisis Team

  • your nearest Accident & Emergency Department.
     

5. No Clinical Relationship
 

Purchasing a webinar, workshop, or digital product does not create:

  • a psychologist-client relationship;

  • a therapist-client relationship;

  • a duty to monitor your wellbeing;

  • a duty to respond to questions;

  • a duty to provide ongoing support.

Any future clinical work must be arranged separately under a separate clinical contract.
 

6. Scope of the Product
 

Your purchase includes only the educational materials specifically described at the point of sale. Unless explicitly stated, your purchase does not include:

  • individual advice

  • email support

  • report writing

  • assessment

  • review of documentation

  • consultation

  • supervision

  • coaching

  • tribunal support

  • school liaison

  • attendance at meetings
     

These services are available separately where appropriate.
 

7. Payment
 

Payment is required in full before access is granted.

Prices are displayed on our website and may change without notice. Any price changes will not affect purchases already completed.
 

8. Refund Policy
 

Digital content is supplied immediately after purchase, therefore all sales are final. Under Regulation 37 of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, by purchasing and accessing digital content you expressly consent to immediate performance of the contract and acknowledge that you lose your statutory 14-day cancellation right once access has begun.
 

No refunds will be offered once access has been granted, including where:

  • you change your mind;

  • you decide the webinar, workshop or digital product is not suitable;

  • you complete only part of the webinar, workshop or digital product;

  • you do not complete the webinar, workshop or digital product;

  • you experience technical difficulties with your own equipment or internet connection.
     

9. Intellectual Property
 

All workshop and webinar materials remain the exclusive intellectual property of Dr Lucy & Associates.
 

This includes videos, slides, workbooks, downloads, exercises, graphics, templates, worksheets, written materials, presentations, branding, logos, course structure and teaching methods
 

Purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the material for your own learning only. Ownership is not transferred.

You must not, without prior written permission:

  • copy

  • reproduce

  • photograph

  • screen-record

  • download protected videos

  • upload

  • distribute

  • publish

  • translate

  • adapt

  • edit

  • modify

  • sell

  • lend

  • rent

  • sublicense

  • share login details

  • allow others to access the webinar, workshop or digital product

  • use any material to create another webinar, workshop or digital product

  • use the material to train AI systems

  • upload webinar, workshop or digital product materials into generative AI systems

  • create derivative works based upon the webinar, workshop or digital product.
     

These restrictions apply whether the copying is complete or partial.
 

10. Artificial Intelligence
 

Webinar, workshop or digital product materials must not be uploaded into any artificial intelligence platform for analysis, summarisation, rewriting, transcription, generation of derivative works or model training without prior written permission. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • ChatGPT

  • Claude

  • Gemini

  • Copilot

  • any future Large Language Model.
     

11. Monitoring and Enforcement
 

We actively monitor unauthorised distribution of our intellectual property. Where infringement is identified, we reserve the right to:

  • immediately terminate access;

  • issue cease and desist notices;

  • require deletion of all copied material;

  • seek damages;

  • recover loss of profits;

  • recover legal costs;

  • seek injunctive relief;

  • report copyright infringement to hosting providers;

  • report infringement to employers, universities or professional regulators where appropriate;

  • commence civil proceedings.
     

Unauthorised copying may constitute infringement under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
 

12. Professional Disclaimer
 

The educational material reflects current evidence, professional guidance and accepted psychological practice at the time of publication. Psychological knowledge evolves over time.


Webinar, workshop or digital product content should not be interpreted as representing the only acceptable professional opinion. Professionals remain responsible for exercising their own clinical judgement.
 

13. Limitation of Liability
 

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Dr Lucy & Associates shall not be liable for:

  • indirect losses

  • consequential losses

  • loss of income

  • loss of business

  • loss of opportunity

  • emotional distress

  • educational outcomes

  • examination results

  • employment outcomes

  • parenting outcomes

  • decisions made following webinar or workshop completion.
     

14. Technology
 

You are responsible for ensuring you have:

  • suitable hardware;

  • compatible software;

  • internet access;

  • adequate internet speed.
     

We are not responsible for failures caused by your equipment or internet connection. Temporary interruptions caused by maintenance, software updates or events beyond our reasonable control shall not constitute breach of contract.
 

15. Data Protection

Personal information is processed in accordance with:

  • UK GDPR;

  • the Data Protection Act 2018;

  • our Privacy Policy.
     

We collect only the information necessary to:

  • process your purchase;

  • provide access;

  • communicate about your purchase;

  • meet legal and accounting obligations.
     

Your personal data will never be sold.
 

Where third-party platforms are used (such as website hosting, payment processors, hosting providers or email services), data will only be processed in accordance with UK data protection legislation and appropriate contractual safeguards.
 

If you subscribe to marketing communications, you may unsubscribe at any time.
 

16. Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)

Dr Lucy & Associates is registered with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as required by the Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018.
 

If you have concerns about how your personal information is handled, you should first contact us so that we have the opportunity to resolve your concerns.
 

If you remain dissatisfied, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office.
 

17. Complaints
 

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your purchase, please contact us in writing. We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and respond as soon as reasonably practicable.
 

18. Governing Law
 

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
