ADHD Assessments with Dr Lucy
As a Clinical Psychologist, I offer comprehensive assessments that go beyond merely determining a diagnosis. My approach focuses on understanding a person's strengths, challenges, and specific support needs. This holistic assessment provides valuable insights that can inform tailored interventions across home, workplace, or educational settings. I do not make diagnostic decisions based on the results of single assessments; I feel it is important to build a relationship
with you, or your child and family, to fully understand needs.
All assessments are fully compliant with NICE guidelines, involve a multi-disciplinary team (MDT), and use the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria. As a clinical psychologist, I have extensive training and experience in ADHD and Autism, as well as in co-occurring differences and difficulties, including intellectual disabilities, mental health, trauma, attachment difficulties, foetal alcohol spectrum disorder and specific learning difficulties (e.g dyslexia).
Regardless of the outcome of the assessment, you will receive tailored recommendations for you, or your child, to help create supportive environments that foster wellbeing. It is important to me that my assessment is neuroaffirmative, and therefore, I focus on the strengths as well as acknowledging the areas of need.
